Here at Prestige Horse Transport our trucks are state of the art, modern and offer only the finest comfort and safety for you horse. We pride ourselves on quality service for both our client and their equine friend. All our trucks are equipped with air ride suspension, size adjustable bays, side and rear loading doors, cameras for every bay, superior ventilation, down air suspension for loading and thick, quality padding all around. 

Prestige Horse Transport is owned and operated byan animal and truck loving family consisting of Rachael and Daniel Colbeck and their son Charlie and their daughter Charlotte. Combining their two loves of horses and trucks, they started Prestige Horse Transport in 2000 and haven't look back yet... 

Rachael Colbeck

Founder and Owner Rachael has been involved with horses for over 30 years, beginning her riding career at Doongala Pony Club in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges in Melbourne. She has successfully competed across all disciplines and levels, developing a broad and well-rounded equestrian foundation.

She currently competes several young, home-bred Warmbloods, primarily through HRCAV, and transitions into Equestrian Australia–affiliated competitions as the horses progress. Her extensive experience with young horses is supported by strong veterinary skills, a deep understanding of equine health and behaviour, and highly developed handling skills, allowing her to manage horses confidently across all stages of training, transport, and competition.

Rachael holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Equine Science) and an Associate Diploma in Equine Studies. Combined with her practical veterinary knowledge, this ensures every horse in her care receives informed, attentive, and professional handling.

In 2025, Rachael completed her Bachelor of Laws and is currently undertaking the final requirements for admission as a lawyer to the Supreme Court, expected in late 2026. This achievement sits alongside a range of other notable accomplishments and reflects her ongoing commitment to professional learning and excellence.

Daniel colbeck

Dan’s passion has always been with cars and trucks a lifelong interest that naturally led him into the mechanical trade. After completing his Year 11 studies at just 17, Dan went on to qualify as a motor mechanic by the age of 22, before further expanding his expertise by completing his diesel mechanic trade qualifications. This dual qualification allows him to maintain and repair the fleet to the highest standard, ensuring reliability, safety, and performance at all times.

Beyond mechanics, Dan’s connection with horses is frequently remarked upon. He has a deep respect for their nature and behaviour, and a genuine understanding of how horses think, move, and respond to their environment. His calm, intuitive approach allows horses to feel settled and confident, particularly during transport and handling.

Dan’s horse-handling skills are exceptional. He approaches every horse with patience, consistency, and care, always prioritising their welfare and comfort. His ultimate goal is not only to transport horses safely, but to help others better understand and respect them a philosophy that underpins everything he does within the business.

CHARLIE COLBECK

At just 16 years old, Charlie is already becoming the face of the next generation at Prestige Horse Transport.

With a keen eye for detail and an impressive knowledge of both trucks and horses, Charlie is excited to begin a diesel mechanic apprenticeship. Together, Daniel and Charlie form a formidable team, ensuring there are no shortcuts, and no compromises on safety or reliability. I’ve seen firsthand the countless repairs and solutions carried out at all hours, thanks to the dedication and expertise of these two.

As Rachael steps back from day-to-day operations (though always remaining closely involved behind the scenes), Charlie steps forward to continue the family tradition of transporting horses between Victoria and Queensland, and every town in between.

Charlie has big plans for the future of the business, and we can’t wait to see where he takes Prestige Horse Transport next.

Here at Prestige Horse Transport we travel both local and Interstate from our base in Euroa, Victoria also known as Thoroughbred Country. We have dedicated daily service routes around Victoria.
